This image was taken with 25 feet between the camera and the people. The wood power pole (vertical green stripe) behind the car measured 100 feet from the camera, and power poles don’t put out much heat. The heat from the recently driven car doesn’t obscure everything around it either. A sharp thermal image can show details a lower resolution thermal camera might miss.

There are a number of issues that can be evaluated quickly and effectively with a good Thermal Imaging Camera. The uses are quite numerous, even before the age of Covid 19. They include:

  • Identifying air leaks around windows and doors, and looking for areas that could benefit from improved insulation.

  • Locating potential water leaks.

  • Identifying the routing of hot or cold water lines otherwise obscured by the structure.

  • Identifying heavily loaded circuits in a breaker panel.

  • Identifying leaks in HVAC duct work.

  • Wildlife management.

  • Temperature scans of a an entire area or group of people instead of taking one person’s temperature at a time while they hold still.

If you would like to have a thermal imaging camera evaluation of any of the above noted issues or something not presently listed, please feel free to fill out the Send a Message form or Request a Call (found below) and I will be happy to discuss the matter with you and your team. My thermal imaging camera can produce a considerably higher resolution thermal image than most of the rental unit thermal cameras (they were available before Covid 19 anyway) and devices on a level comparable to the FLIR ONE Pro that must be used with a smart phone. The cost for use of my camera at your site would include mileage expenses in addition to an hourly rate which will vary depending on the nature of the job or event. There is NO additional thermal camera charge when using my crate of equipment to troubleshoot a radiant heating system. My thermal camera is not available for rent to any person or organization.
